A Glimpse into My Music Cover Designs: I'm excited to share a selection of music covers I've designed over the years. It's important to note: there's a significant difference between creating artwork for vinyl or CD and designing covers for digital releases. Physical formats allow space for detail – images, text, atmosphere. Digital covers, however, are often reduced to the size of a smartphone screen, sometimes just 4 × 4 cm in DJ software. Yet the graphic still needs to work – instantly recognizable, clear in message and mood. During the HKSYSTM phase, I chose to move away from combining text and imagery, focusing solely on color and form. Release details are typically shown in the accompanying metadata anyway. Covers for HKS MUSIC, Haikai Music, and my early CD demos reflect my wild years in Berlin-Kreuzberg – a raw, expressive era. Later works like HKSYSTM and the SOLO 3 cover drafts represent a more global chapter in my life – calmer, broader, more reflective. What has always mattered to me: no automated app templates – but original artwork, hand-crafted using tools like Photoshop and Illustrator. Enjoy browsing through this selection.
